I've HVR-900 rev. B3C0, ID 2040:6502 and In fact changing permissions
on /etc/init.d/media-daemon allowed me to see that it's working on Ubuntu,
although there is no dvb-t signal yet where I live I was hoping that maybe the
'audio clicking' problem was solved in this version of the driver, but I can't
get audio to work.

On the previous version of the driver running mplayer this way resulted
in perfect analog tv quality but 'clicking audio':

mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:alsa:adevice=hw.1,0:immediatemode=0:normid=1
:channels=[channel list here] -vf pp=[some filtering here]

and judging from these proc entries:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /proc/asound/cards
 0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel
HDA Intel at 0xfe100000 irq 22
 1 [Em28xx Audio ]: Empia Em28xx AudEm28xx Audio - Em28xx Audio
                      Empia Em28xx Audio

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /proc/asound/devices
  2: : timer
  3: : sequencer
  4: [ 0- 1]: digital audio playback
  5: [ 0- 0]: digital audio playback
  6: [ 0- 0]: digital audio capture
  7: [ 0] : control
  8: [ 1- 0]: digital audio capture

it is hw.1:0, but no sound.

Dmesg output is here:

http://greblus.net/trunk/dmesg_em28xx.txt

There is one strange thing in the dmesg:

[ 746.860000] em28xx-audio: device is currently in analog TV mode
[ 782.164000] audio users: 0
[ 782.164000] disabling audio stream!
[ 782.164000] released lock
[ 782.164000] An underrun occured very likely... ignoring it
[ 814.824000] opening radio device and trying to acquire exclusive lock
[ 814.824000] em28xx-audio: device is currently in analog TV mode
[ 1073.448000] audio users: 0
[ 1073.448000] disabling audio stream!
[ 1073.448000] released lock

But mplayer shows that everything is ok (I think so):

Forced audio codec: mad
Opening audio decoder: [pcm] Uncompressed PCM audio decoder
AUDIO: 48000 Hz, 2 ch, s16le, 1536.0 kbit/100.00% (ratio: 192000->192000)
Selected audio codec: [pcm] afm: pcm (Uncompressed PCM)
==========================================================================
AO: [alsa] 48000Hz 2ch s16le (2 bytes per sample)

Maybe it's just something simple to check/modify.

Pozdrawiam
        W.
