Hi all, I'm using a self-compiled 2.6.25 kernel, which uses the same config file as found in debian unstable, but eliminating the xen-stuff (to be able to compile the nvidia stuff). Next I got the em28xx-new driver from mcentral.de which seems to have build and installed properly. Actually, I can watch tv with this dongle, but only using the basic tzap + mplayer method. From time to time, I get one of the following messages in the kernel:
May 29 11:25:23 kernel: [ 4252.956320] initializing: 18 May 29 11:25:23 kernel: [ 4192.419818] FIXME:em28xx_i2c_send_bytes(c2): write failed: May 29 11:25:23 kernel: [ 4192.419827] =============================== May 29 11:25:23 kernel: [ 4192.419831] 00 02 00 c0 May 29 11:25:23 kernel: [ 4192.419838] ================================ and: em28xx #0: AC97 command still being executed: not handled properly! It continues to work after a few such messages, but then it's like dead locked: I can pull out the dongle and push it back in, no more messages in kern.log; it's like the dongle wasn't there any more. The only way out of this seems to be a reboot. I can't tell when these messages pop up, but somehow it seems as if it's related either to the attempt to change the channel or maybe it's just a question of time. On the other hand, as soon as I try any other program such as kaffeine, those messages come immediately and no channels are found or used. The USB-ID is 0ccd-72. The modules cx25843 and zl10353 seem to have been loaded, em28xx says that it's an em2883 but then em2880 is used. Any help with this one? Thanks, -- Cris _______________________________________________ Em28xx mailing list [email protected] http://mcentral.de/mailman/listinfo/em28xx
