Current CVS version compiles for me on an intel iMac running OS 10.5.4, following the instructions in nextstep/INSTALL.
The resulting Emacs.app starts up OK as long as I remove my rather complex .emacs and wait to load it by hand. (But I can't seem to change font size.)
