People are looking into it but no success yet. If you would like to look at the code, start with ns_draw_window_cursor() in nsterm.m. It's possible something else in nsterm.m has become out of sync with code in other terminal impls. It seems particularly related to changes in focus. Also, useful information would be when the problem first appeared. I don't see it in rc2a. I do get it from the bzr code just before the merge.
