`M-x customize-face RET diary-face' brings uo a customization buffer for the face `diary' instead of for the typed alias `diary-face'. _Assuming_, of course, that diary is loaded. If not, customize-face will not recognize diary, nor diary-face. I proposed doing something similar for customize-variable.
