Git cloning is something i will look into. But back to my original point. The distribution version on the orgmode website is not as advertised. In this case: advertised is v6.00-pre5 downloadable is v5.23a.
If the v6.00-pre5 version is a development version only available from the git repo then a website change might be in order? Tim.
