Yes, my guess was that your requirements were a bit different than mine. I start + close mutt several times a day, but emacs is running all the time. I usually move mail out of my inbox completely and then it stays in a subfolder forever, etc. I think if this ever (!) mutates into org-mutt.el one day, we'd have to take care to take such preferences into account, i.e. whether to use mairix or not.
