Org-mode is a subscriber only mailing list. It does not allow non-members to post for spam prevention. If you did not have to subscribe to the mailing list when you started posting to it, then you likely had your message manually accepted by a volunteer moderator and they added you to the subscriber list. Email etiquette is something that has been declining over time.
