hmm. why too many? each column would be an attribute (title, author, score, publisher, ...), or a status (unread, finished, ...) and each row would be a book. that should scale. the downside of a table (though that is almost certainly what i would have suggested) is the "notes", i.e., the freeform text that would follow the property table in a node in your scheme. there's not a "naive" way to do that. cheers, Greg
