I do not think that it is a good idea: 1. I am not sure how org-contrib to org-orphanage will affect ELPA package 2. Adding packages to org-contrib may surprise users who install org-contrib. 3. Most importantly, some packages have multiple files and provide a separate *-pkg.el file. Adding them to org-contrib will require extra work to make things installable. 4. How will we continue distributing the orphan packages on ELPA from the new source? I guess we may work around the above issues using git sub-modules, but I am not sure if it is going to be easier compared to separate package list. -- Ihor Radchenko // yantar92, Org mode contributor, Learn more about Org mode at <https://orgmode.org/>.
