I made it official by updating the documentation. However, saying that it is reliable is a stretch. For example, it is blocked in China. It can also be a target of similar DDOS attacks targeting free software infrastructure. For example, see https://sourcehut.org/blog/2024-01-19-outage-post-mortem/ In the absence of huge server infra (like in e.g. github), it is practically very hard to fight serious DDOS without causing collateral damage by some innocent users being blocked. Even github probably cannot avoid it once the attack gets powerful enough. Unfortunately as it is, free software is being attacked by botnets pretty regularly. And the more known the software is, the higher are chances to become a target. To solve the problem we should either give up and use big tech provider (github) or self-host and hope that Org mode specifically does not get targeted. -- Ihor Radchenko // yantar92, Org mode maintainer, Learn more about Org mode at <https://orgmode.org/>.
