I like this interface. Personally I use the FAQ in two ways:
1. I have a problem and I'm not sure what to look for / how to google or
search the manual.
2. I have a problem and I have a specific pointer, but the manual is
insufficient.
For method 1, your interface is better. I think that I often start with a
category, which are easier to find in "View by category" than in the TOC on
Worg. For method 2, I do not know which I prefer. I like that Worg has a lot
of information in one screen. The TOC has *very* dense information, but I
admit that I have never really used it too much.
Two things which confused me:
- "Keeping current" means nothing to me until I click on it and realise that
it something akin to "Keeping Org-mode up-to-date". This is also relevant
for org-faq.html, but less so, since the category titles aren't so important
there - they are immediately followed by questions. Since the category
titles here are first-class, it's more important that they have good names.
- About the numbers, I think that they make sense when the list of entries has
a logical ordering. When viewing by category, the categories are ordered
alphabetically, which does not align with the numbering on org-faq.org. This
is a bit confusing:
- when clicking on the first category, "Agenda", the first question is 16.1.
- when clicking on "View full list", the first question is 2.1. Why not 1.1?
(I know the answer, Section 1 on org-faq is an introduction, but that's
not clear on your faq).
Again, thanks for this, I like it.
