The thing is, I'm keeping lots of stuff in several org files and occasionally I want to export some of it (in this case it was a table) to latex/pdf in order to print it or send it to someone. I'm not actually interested in the .tex or .pdf file itself and I don't want to clutter up the directory containing my org files.
