I also note that you do not keep your state messages inside of a logbook drawer. If you are just concerned with seeing the data and not with it accumulating there, you could stuff it inside a LOGBOOK drawer. (setq org-clock-into-drawer t) or the equivalent configuration options should configure this. --Brian
