Well, that doesn't make any sense: org-w3m doesn't contain the string in question, much less a variable reference in current Org, neither on the maint nor the master branch. You will want to be more forthcoming with information what commit you're at and what exactly you are doing. Start with showing us the output of "git status" and "make config-all" if that doesn't already give you a clue as to what is missing.
