No, I believe that's a limitation of what you can do with these diary-sexps. You can always add the time to the headline: that way it'll appear in the agenda (but not in the grid, if you use that, and not sorted correctly - the time is just a label): *** Teaching 7:00pm-8:30pm <%%(org-class 2014 1 6 2014 3 10 1 1)> Nick
