Hello, yes, I did that and the path is valid, it becomes, well, say, "expanded". Except that it contains slashes ( "/" ) instead of backslashes, it is exactly what I expected. And to be clear: the same link works with Emacs 24.3 under Windows 7 as well as under Linux and Emacs 24.4. Thank you for your much appreciated help! Regards, Alexander
