Nicolas, if you could circulate a one-off patch that handles the above syntax I will bump it against the ODT backend and JabRef engine.
I am waiting for the FSF representative to counter-sign my assignment papers (which is in transit). I would very much like to see Citation support in the ODT exporter and work with you see the feature all the way through to the main-line.
