Symptoms:

Just updated from CVS, bootstrapped, and now emacs -q issues a message
that it didn't issue before:

Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-helvetica-medium-r-*--*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1" to type FontSet

-- and the font used in the menu bar has changed.

I have checked in a fix, please try it.

It doesn't seem to have made any difference...

Are you sure you recompiled it? The default font isn't any iso8859-1 font anymore so that message should have changed.

This is on a non-GTK build if that matters.

As this is a Lucid/Motif/Lesstif only thing, I kind of assumed that :-)
