I think it's wrong to let view-mode-exit iconify (or delete) a frame
for two reasons:
Iconifying seems like a reasonable behavior to me.
It is the natural way to exit after doing view-file-other-frame.
This seems to me like the kind of issue where the advantages of each
alternative counterbalance each other more or less, because each
behavior is right in some situations. The difference is so subtle
that one could argue about it for hours without a conclusion. The
argument would be a waste of time, so let's not start it. I won't
make a change that will fix one case while breaking the other case.
If you can design a change that will do the right thing in BOTH cases,
that I would be glad to adopt.
