Sorry, but I simply cannot see the problem... I tried this (on GNU/Linux): 1. I started both of 22.x and 21.2 emacs -q. 2. I arranged the two frames side by side. 3. I opened your sample file in each emacs. 4. I resized the 21.2 frame so the text window had the same height as the 22.x text window 5. I type C-v in both frames 6. I end up with the same result in both. Maybe you are confused by 22.x and 21.3 calculating different frame sizes for the same geometry (thus step 4 above). IIRC, 21.3 includes the height of the toolbar when calculating the frame height, 22.x does not. -- Kim F.
