Symptoms: I use
(setq calendar-month-name-array ["Januar" "Februar" "März" "April" "Mai" "Juni" "Juli" "August" "September" "Oktober" "November" "Dezember"]) in .emacs (German month names). In the latest CVS Emacs this doesn't work with "appt", i.e. no appointment windows pops up. The reason is that the diary entry starts with "Okt 10, 2005" but appt expects "Oct 10, 2005". It doesn't help to set calendar-month-abbrev-array to German abbreviations. If emacs crashed, and you have the emacs process in the gdb debugger, please include the output from the following gdb commands: `bt full' and `xbacktrace'. If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file /usr/local/share/emacs/22.0.50/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
