There are lots of nodes in the Emacs manual with "regexp" in their name,
which is a good abbreviation. But the description of those nodes in
Info menus should always spell out "regular expression" for novice
users.
I would not object to this change, as long as the details don't cause
any other problem. People can install such changes if they want to.
