Again I tried to copy the /etc directory to my home directory, but when the
unreadable directory /etc/chatscripts was reached, the copying stopped. :-(

The error messages were displayed in the echo area and in the *Dired log*
buffer:

Sun Sep 3 17:52:15 2006 Buffer `/'
Copying error for /etc/.pwd.lock:
(file-error Opening input file keine Berechtigung /etc/.pwd.lock)
Copying error for /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config:
(file-error Opening input file keine Berechtigung /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config)
Copying error for /etc/at.deny:
(file-error Opening input file keine Berechtigung /etc/at.deny)
Copy `/etc' to `/home/sven/tmp/etc' failed:
(file-error Opening directory keine Berechtigung /etc/chatscripts)
