As Latin-1 (still) has a higher priority than windows-1252 (at least that's my understanding), windows-1252 will not be used unless there a bytes from the region x80-x9f. (windows-1252 is a superset of Latin-1. They differ only this region, which is not used in Latin-1.) > It's not terrible, but it means that this change is not completely > harmless.
