When I copy text from Emacs and paste it into another application, for
example Outlook, the paste hangs. When I switch contexts back to Emacs
and then back to Outlook, it generally unblocks; sometimes it doesn't
unblock until I minimize the Emacs windows, however, as is the case
right now with the text of this message that I'm composing in an Emacs
buffer and posting into a browser to send you.

I suspect this may also be the cause of problems I have running
connecting to my Windows box over Remote Desktop from my MacOS X system
at home. There when I'm using Emacs it frequently hangs and the remote
desktop client process on my MacOS X system starts redlining on the
CPU. Its gotten to the point where I've pretty much abandoned using
Emacs in this configuration. I haven't tried it with clipboard
integration turned off.

FWIW the older ntemacs never had these problems, but then I converted
to using the newer system when I got a new box.

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
   `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
c:/Program Files/Emacs-22-CvsU070524-EmacsW32-1.54/emacs/etc/DEBUG for
instructions.
