Oh, no! Now I we have succeeded in persuading you to try one of the
inline methods, and then you choose the wrong one! ;-)
Actually, I feel rather sheepish and I have to admit that the uuencode
methods do not work as well as they should because there seem to be
several versions of uuencode floating about, and they have
incompatible command line arguments. Doing something about this is on
the todo list.
But since both systems (local and remote) seem to be Redhat systems,
chances are that the program mimencode is installed on both of them.
This means that you can use one of the `sm' methods. The work like
`su' but use mimencode rather than uuencode.
