und so weiter. So I did some real work :-) then returned to this
problem. Tried various things, nothing worked: pscp's error msgs
always said "waiting for end of file," and (with verbosity on)
indicated no other problems.

Got the win32 cmdline CVS client from cvshome.org, and did (broken for
mail)

Just as with pscp, cvs was able to make the directories tramp and
tramp/CVS, but it seems like it's not getting an EOF from the files.

Am I missing something? Or is there something I need to do? Or is
there something you can do? (such as briefly disable anti-Micro$oft
mode for long enough for me to download ?-)

Also, if there are any windowsen within the sound of my voice: can
one of you try cvsing the latest tramp, and lemme know how it goes?
