I don't really even want them so solicit ideas, or try and define
mythical "target users" honestly. Software is almost universally better
when there is very strong, opinionated leadership, who is out for
something that meets *their* needs, and the needs of people like them.
If I get an email client that meets the needs of Brent, John, and Gus,
something tells me its going to be perfect for me as well.

Democracy is great for government, but generates software that looks
like ass, and tries to be everything to everyone (see: GNOME, KDE, and
other open source desktop environments for Linux). I think Letters needs
to sit squarely in the camp of oligarchy.
