Ah but you can. Especially with AppleScript. While I am still learning AS, I have seen it suggested that the 9.2 version of AS is really not good. People are recommend to either get the latest beta version (1.8b?) or an earlier version (1,6?) . I for get the version numbers. I am using 1.3.7 on 8.6 but I think you can use any version of AS that you want to. If I were using 9.2 I would definitely NOT use the AS version that came with. Dave Groover PS - if you already have or can get an upgrade but can't get it to install, use the utility "Tome Viewer" to open it and put out what ever you want. share ware of free ware.
