Hi all, I am still challenged with the Emailer archive script. Although Michelle did send a nice example to me. But that is as much with me learning and understanding AppleScript, it's interface with Emailer, Panorama and another program called Marionete, as it is a problem with the script. Marionete is a user interface-less program intended to be AppleScript driven so that I can use my DB product to send and receive mail. (it was intended for SuperCard and the like but of course I am talking about Panorama)
I have a question this morning from another angle. How is the Emailer messages DB set up? Is it a file that is assessable from another program other than Emailer that could open it and read it? I forget what standard DB format is but I believe that there is one. Word processors normally default to Txt. Spreadsheets normally default to Sylk or something similar... There may well be a couple of popular formats for DBs and not just one. The question is, is there a way to have AppleScript read the actual Emailer messages DB component, without Emailer being open? I assume that if true it would still be ill formatted for reading, it would have to be cleaned up. But, can it be done at all is what I want to know? Thanks much.
