I was just looking through my AppleScripts. So many scripts that I have
not yet tried. I grabebed a bunch while that old EMailer sight was still
up (Fog City?) Although I have tried and am trying, I am just not
grasping Apple script as quickly as I would like. What I am looking for
is a script that can take a bunch of mail, say all in a folder - or a
message of a few at a time, and crank them all into a text file. I'll bet
that script already exists. And I hope, that if I ask really nicely,
someone would be good enough to either send me to where I can download
it, or send me a copy. :-)

I have an old script of OE many to Text. Something like that would be
perfect. I also have a script that can send messages to individual Text
files. If I knew how to turn that into one document and alter the line
returns, that would do.

I really would like the text to be relatively free of extra hard returns.
It's for import into a database. If your have one and modifying it is as
easy as a couple of cuts (for you - not for me) then what I actually need
is Subject, Date received, Sender (with address) and Body. I am thinking
tabs between all and one hard return between each message would be ideal.

Any takers?

Thanks. (And purty please)

Dave Groover

PS - If any one knows how to take the pieces and put them together I can
past the scripts into a separate message.
