I don't think so. There *was* a moderator, a long time ago. He hardly ever exercised his moderator privileges, since we were on topic most of the time and the off-topic posts never generated much traffic or complaints. Then he went on vacation for two weeks, and the woman who substituted for him abused her power so severely that we started a competing mailing list and threatened to leave. The original moderator returned, apologized profusely for the evil moderator's actions, and the competing mailing list died quietly. Nowadays, we're running on auto-pilot.
