Sometimes, but it's not easy. For one thing, you can't use the long header from the Mail Daemon's message to you, since it created a new email message to notify you of the error and tracing that header would just lead you back to the Mailer Daemon. If the message from the Mail Daemon included a copy of the problem message, and that copy included a long header, you need to use *that* long header to identify the culprit. Once you find the correct long header, you have to read the "Received:" headers from top to bottom to trace the message's journey backwards to its origin. Once you know what domain it originated from, you have to send email to any friends you know who have email addresses on that domain and ask them to scan their computers for the virus. If that doesn't identify the culprit, you can try emailing everyone you know. It's possible that one of them has an address on that domain that you weren't aware of. If all that fails, you can try sending the long headers to the domain's postmaster and ask for his help. Just let the postmaster know that this may be a friend of a friend and you only want to let the person know that they have a computer virus. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
