OK. I was one of three questions he answered in yesterday's column, and
I've copied the question that I believe you are interested in.

Q: I would like to use Microsoft Outlook for my AOL e-mail account. Is
there a software program that will allow me to perform this function
continuously?

A: AOL is eager to keep users inside its software environment, and to
keep other companies away from its servers, so it generally has made it
impossible to use stand-alone e-mail programs like Outlook, Eudora or
Outlook Express to access AOL e-mail. However, some clever shareware
authors have created add-ons for these e-mail programs that do the job.

In the past, I have recommended one such program,
eNetbot,(www.enetbot.com), but some readers have suggested another,
called aol2pop, downloadable at www.aol2pop.com. I have tested both, and
they work.
