I had been out of town for a while and when I came back, I followed a periodic procedure to EMPTY THE DOWNLOADS FOLDER. But I failed to check that there was new email with attachments. Hence they were GONE. No wonder they wouldn't come out! Everything is OK now. Just another chapter in the life of a low-power-user!
