Ok, I finaly got back to the Habeas Headers issue that came up a little
while ago. (for those of you that don't know, a company, Habeas Inc, has
come up with a new anti-spam concept... for info check their website at
www.habeas.com)

I now have a drop in mail action available for download that will detect
the headers and act as you wish on them. You can get it from my FTP site,
or from my web site at <http://www.mythtech.net/habeasheader.sit.hqx>

There are included directions on how to install the premade Mail Action,
and also how to make it yourself from scratch if you choose to. This mail
action works, I have it in use right now. The TibBits newsletter has the
headers, so each one I get trips the mail action and it does its thing.

If there becomes widespread use of the headers, they could be a great way
to cut down on false positives in spam filters. You could check for those
headers, and if they exist, bypass the spam filters entirely. This will
keep email out that might otherwise contain things that could have it
labeled as spam (you know, for when your friends send you links for
viagra or barn yard animal sex).

Regarding the use of SENDING the headers. I have it working with Emailer.
It took some doing, but it is possible. The problem is, it required minor
alteration of their headers. I have been in discussion with Habeas Inc
about this, and am awaiting a final approval of the headers as they will
be sent from Emailer. I'm holding great hope that they approve them, and
they probably will. They already approved a previous alteration idea, it
just took a little more than I originally expected.

Provided they give the A-OK to use the headers in their new, slightly
modified form, then I will write up manual directions for inserting them
(requires ResEdit), and I am already looking into creating a patch
program for those that want to use the headers, but don't want to mess
with ResEdit. Once everything is ready, I will make another announcement
to the list, and provide links to get directions and a patcher program.
Of course, should Habeas decide it is a no go, I will also let that be
known, but like I said, I have a feeling they will approve it.
