Now maybe *that* would work for my annoying problem with Open Transport and Claris Emailer that cropped up around 9.1 (IIRC). Some of you with dial-up accounts probably have this one: where you connect using PPP (now Remote Access) and if CE has the "Hang up after connecting" box checked, CE will not even do the dial-up connect; it will only dial up if you do NOT have that box (the one in the dialog box that comes up with Command-K) checked. But if it's not checked, CE will dial up, connect and get/send the mail fine. I know some people have recommended having a Remote Access config. that you use to check your email (where RA hangs up after a couple of minutes - long enough to get/send email). However, if I could have an AppleScript within CE do it all (and not have to have a separate RA config.) that would be better for me. For one, my ISP has 3 local numbers - and sometimes one or another either is busy when I try to connect, or will only connect at molasses speeds (28-31k), so I have different RA configs and if I'm not getting connected (or am, but too slow for anything other than email), I can use RA or its Control Strip module to switch to another phone number. Any Scripters who can point me in the right direction to start? Of course, I could just record the whole thing with Script Editor, RA and CE...
