Two things, Philip:
1. There needs to be at least one "To" address, otherwise some email
software will display the whole list. What I do is make myself the first
recipient, leaving it at "To."
2. It's easy, and there are two ways:
a. when you start typing in the name of the group, the Find Address
window pops up. In the Addressing Type popup, select BCC.
or
b. Before you start typing in the group name, select BCC in the Type
field in the message window. Then any addresses you ad will be BCC.
