Do the following:

Quit Emailer
Start Emailer, whatch the email unpack.
Quit Emailer
Open your Emailer Application Folder
Open your Emailer Files Folder
see the Temp Incoming folder... drag it to the trash
Close all open windows
Start Emailer, no email should unpack
Collect your email, does it unpack correctly?
Collect your email again, is the problem gone?

My guess is, your Temp Incoming folder has corrupted permissions and
Emailer can't delete the files in it, so every pass, it finds the same
temp files in it and reunpacks them. Don't try to solve this problem by
screwing with the permissions... just throw the folder away, Emailer will
create a new, corrected, fixed one, so it isn't worth jerking around
trying to do it manually.
