Greetings, all. Quick overview, then the trouble: Pismo G3/400 PowerBook 1 gig of RAM OS X 10.2.6 eMailer version 2.0v3 cable modem/AirPort WiFi
After years of seamless operation, today I started getting these intermittent error messages when trying to sign on to AOL. Here's the message: Connecting to America Online using Account "Last Gasp" Establishing connection ** Unable to open communications port Disconnecting The "communications port" leads me to believe there's some hardware issue involved. A moment after getting this message - after several long moments of trying to connect - and another try with the same account goes through same as always. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Could it be AOL (that would be a shock, I know) having a bad day?
