Yes, the email address is always in the same predictable pattern although not on the same line (counting from the top) so the method you set out would be fine. That's where I get stuck! On the old BBC Microcomputer I could have written a string-handling program in 5 minutes but I'm lost on the Mac. Mind, I've been using Macs only since 1987 so I'm still a newbie. ;-) Is there a book somewhere on AppleScript? (OK, I'll check Amazon). How do I find out all the available commands and syntax?
