My emailer data base is far too large, 500MB, and while every once in a
while, I archive some off, it stays huge. Currently, there are 20,000
messages in my SENT mail folder. ;-)

I have a corrupted database, also, but it hasn't broken yet. So I doubt
you have much to worry about. I clear the deleted items folder about
every 5,000 items. THe only problem I have is I cannot create new
folders, if I do, when you "browse" them, they are empty, you have to
double click on the folder to see what is in it. So I rename old ones on
occasion, and keep on truckin!

Linux is a tough competitor. There's no company called Linux, there's
barely a Linux road map. Yet Linux sort of springs organically from the
earth. And it had, you know, the characteristics of communism that people
love so very, very much about it. That is, it's free.
