IT WORKS !

I couldn't tell you the exact procedure until I tried. So finally I did
it myself without actually editing the glyphs, just the font ID and
stored size, so I didn't need to plug that old LC.

The hard part was generating bitmaps for Geneva 12, as Geneva 9 and 12
are stored in the ROM unlike "normal" fonts. But I'm stubborn and didn't
want another font. It would have been easier, but other 12 point bitmaps
aren't that good. I then :

- changed the ID of the font so that it won't conflict with the original
Geneva (I chose 12345, just tell me if it seems to conflict with an
existing font on your setup).

- changed the alleged size in the FOND resource to 9

- renamed it to BIGeneva

- put it in the system (just for testing, my prefered method would rather
be to store the font in the Emailer application itself so that it won't
be available elsewhere and can't be lost, ask me for a how to or if you
want me to post a patched Emailer app on my site)

- set Emailer's ressource STR# 512 first string to "BIGeneva"

And boom ! (tm Steve)
Browser windows now use "BIGeneva 9" which looks like Geneva 12. This
affects all lists (browser windows, recipients, attachments, accounts,
address book, etc.), which is good. But as predicted it causes some
things to overflow their boundaries.

I'll post the font ASAP, probably today. Look for it at:
http://vric.free.fr/mac/Emailer/

Send me a fresh Emailer application of your own localization and I'll
post a patched version (please announce it on the list and wait a bit to
check with others that I don't receive 50 of those).

We couldn't much exceed 12 point because the line height in lists seems
fixed, but then the interface glitches elsewhere would be too much in my
opinion anyway.

Now I deserve those carrots.
