I don't recall seing that. Always the opposite. But I must say I very 
rarely rebuilt my DB, so my experience is limited.

What I saw though is that you should always use the "normal" rebuild at 
least until you see real problems, because the "advanced" rebuild has the 
power to mess up a DB and should be kept as a last resort.

And keep the previous version of the DB for some time to revert to it if 
you later realize something went wrong (the original DB and index files 
are kept in place, just renamed).

Probably safer than many other mailers anyway.
Mine is currently aroud 160 MB.

I don't recall hearing about such a limit.
The DB Stats script tells me I have 122 folders and 14328 messages, 
others have much more.
