Probably tinkering with mail server software in an effort to "serve you better." In doing so, they have evidently caused a problem with the "conduit" used by Emailer to access the servers. It doesn't seem to cause any real problem, just the annoying error messages. If it gets fixed, I suspect it will be by accident.
