Regarding disk and database problems, I just found an old message that further convinces me not to use Norton Utilities. Those issues may have been fixed since the days of NDD 2 & 3 if they were Norton's fault, but if they were on Emailer's side we can't be sure.
I would avoid Norton products anyway. The maintenance/recovery apps I trust are Data Rescue, Disk Warrior and Drive 10. I have no opinion on the last TechTool. The antivirus from TT 3 proved inefficient the only time I met a virus and I found the rest of TT too bloated to try more. -------------------- old message -------------------- >Re: Database fragmentation/missing messages >From: (Will Mayall) [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Date: 05/19/97 04:58:27 PM ID: 62989462707 > >On 5/19/97 3:04 PM, Alan Klein wrote: > >>After deleting a large number of old messages from Emailer's database, I >>ran Norton's Disk Dr., which reported an unfixable problem.
