Go to the Setup menu in Emailer and select Preferences. When the panel's open, select Files and Folders from the list on the left-hand side. This will open a new panel. The second item on the Files and Folders panel lets you set the location for your Downloads Folder. Click Select and then navigate to the Desktop in the window that opens. Click the large button at the bottom of the panel when it reads Desktop. It sounds more complicated than it is. Note that I'm using OS 9.1. Things may be different in OS X.x.
