I believe that 10.4 is the last OS version which will support classic.

As you said, someone may hack the OS to run Classic on PPC hardware, but 
Apple is removing direct support with Leopard. (10.5) I can almost 
guarantee that not a single line of code will be written or tested for 
classic.

So 10.4.9 or whatever, will be the last OS version to support Emailer, at 
least formally.

You know how Jobs is, once he decides to "move on", he forces the issue.
