Wow, I've never heard of "ReBuilding" Emailer before!

Okay, I don't have the problem the original poster, Don, has with regards 
to memory, but I do have tens of thousands of emails. Thing is, I don't 
keep them in the Inbox, I keep them in folders named for particular 
correspondents. Anyway, is this Rebuild thing a good thing to do in 
general, like rebuilding the desktop on one's Mac?
